My husband and I brought takeout from TJ’s Deli & Grill home to my parents. Mom’s Hot Sicilian sandwich was delicious and wonderful as always. It is a huge sub packed with pepperoni, ham, bacon, grilled onions, banana peppers, thousand island dressing, lettuce, tomato, provolone cheese and tomato sauce.
Dad had the Cheesy Teriyaki Chicken. It had grilled chicken with sautéed onions & green peppers, provolone cheese, teriyaki sauce, lettuce, tomato and mayo (we asked them to leave off the mushrooms.). He said it was very good, well-seasoned, and juicy.
Jerry had Mitch’s Club. It’s a sandwich that’s around 2″ think, loaded with corned beef, pastrami, Swiss & American cheeses, mayo, spicy mustard, onion, banana peppers, lettuce and tomato, on two slices of rye bread. The club was a hearty, satisfying sandwich worth the price.
I ordered the Cham, a sandwich with a fresh deep fried chicken breast, ham and provolone cheese on a soft sesame seed bun with lettuce, tomato and mayo. I had the 6oz cream of broccoli soup for my side. I loved the soup. It had a rich creamy base and generous amounts of broccoli.
TJ’s is my favorite place in town for deli sandwiches.
