It’s always a good sign when you come into a restaurant and it’s packed with customers- even on a Sunday evening around 8pm.
I decided to visit tjs twice before writing a review. The first time I came during my lunch break on a weekday, the second after spending an eventful Sunday moving friends into an apartment nearby.
By the time we arrived after moving, we were all famished and Tj’s cured our hunger spectacularly.
I got the grilled cheese loaded with different veggies, my girlfriend got the Reuben which she described as “the best Reuben I’ve ever had,” and our friends got the Blt and a turkey sub. Portions are huge! And they gave us an abundance of sauces which we requested.
As for the decor, it’s vintage 80s and the dining area hasn’t been updated since then (I think). But it doesn’t matter….because the food is just THAT good and if you look inside the kitchen, everything looks brand ‘spankin new.
Also worth noting, they have a nice cream shop connected to it and if you show your food purchase during the weekend, they’ll give you 50 cents off a small cone. Though, by the time we finished eating we were far too full for ice cream! We all plan on trying it next time.
